So I am stuck on my scrappy yellow project. Which cornerstones to use?
Jewel tones |
Obviously these are a little large. I didn't like these as much as I thought I would cuz I loved them in the red quilt.
Black |
I was surprised how much I liked the black but is it too much?
Yellow |
Subtle but more in keeping with the monochromatic look.
Now I'm thinking maybe I should have gone with just sashings and no cornerstones. That is no longer an option because I've cut up the fabric.

So I am going to make some more burp cloths for my granddaughter, Paige, while I debate.

I personally like the black cornerstones-the yellow fades into the blocks too much. I love the black and white fabric for sashing-never would be that brave myself but love, love, love it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kathy - I like the black cornerstones best.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. Definitely the black cornerstones. They just make the whole quilt pop. I love that sashing fabric.
ReplyDeleteTha black is the winner to me too. I like the multi-colored ones but this is more a Monochromatic with the yellow with Black accents.
ReplyDeleteGo Black! Go Black! Go Black!
ReplyDeleteI like the black too.
ReplyDeleteThe black does give it a dramatic flair. The jewel tones caught my eye too.
ReplyDeleteI like the black best - I think it brings out the brightness of your yellows, rather than washing them out, like the yellow cornerstones do....
ReplyDeleteI like the black best too. Both this and the red quilt look great!
ReplyDeleteUse the black! Use the black!
