I spent a very little bit of time in my sewing room today. I was able to put together the first of this month's
Rainbow Scrap Challenge cosmetic bags. It took more time than I expected as there are seams to match up. The first time I sewed the two fronts to the zipper I forgot to consider that the squares needed to line up and, of course, they didn't. So I took it apart, used some pins and now I'm happy with how it turned out.

This little pouch is about 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" |
Tomorrow I hope to put together it's mate - a larger toiletry bag.

ReplyDeleteExcellent job! they are very fiddle to make but look great. Ive just finished doing some Amy Bulter origami bags (good fun)
ReplyDeletei need to pick up some zippers and make one of these. I would love to keep my new binding clips in a cute pouch like this.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Glad you were able to match up all those seams. Little zipper bags are always so handy to have around.
ReplyDeleteI covet all the darling pocket bags everyone makes. I've got to make me one. So nice. I worked with Blue this week too. :) happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a good idea for using up scraps and making something useful. Will you be making a make-up bag in each colour, or will you be making other sizes too?
ReplyDeleteNice idea
