Ugh. I had grabbed the first section to trim and didn't realize that I had actually grabbed two sections. But thankfully it wasn't as bad a repair as I feared. I taped the paper back together, took off fabric pieces 5, 6, and 7 and replaced them. Voila, back in business. I sewed the As to the Bs and now have this:
Hopefully by next week I will have my February BOM finished and it will go nicely with this one:

What a Hoot Quilts

You were lucky you could fix it so quickly. That could have been a major disaster. I've never had that in quilting, but I did once cut out a dress with two right sleeves! All through a lapse in concentration.
I've done that so many times. What I'm famed for is trimming the block on the sewing line and not leaving any seam allowance. Glad you were able to rescue it as it's a stunning block xx
Beautiful. Both blocks! So glad the fix went well.
Very pretty! Glad it was an easy repair.
Oh, I hate it when I cut in the wrong place!! I do what Gina mentioned every once in a while. Usually because I'm doing a lot of them at once and am watching TV while prepping the next seam. . . :D This is a really pretty project.
Hi Melinda, I found you from Pinterest. I pinned one of your quilts and now I am looking forward to watching you work on all your UFO's. I only have 26 started, 4 tops to quilt, and many many I want to make! I don't have a blog but maybe some day!
Ouch. Such rotten luck. Glad you were able to fix it without too much bother.
Your blocks are amazing.
Tape is a Paper-piecers best friend some days. Glad you got it fixed.
