Finally

I did it, I finally did it!!!

Remember this pile of fabric from January? I had worked on cleaning up the sewing room (a never ending battle it appears) and it was all but completed except for the pile of fabrics that needed to be put away.

Well, it had only gotten worse, much worse (sorry, no pic). I have collected alot of fabric for baby girl sewing but haven't been able to do alot of sewing so that fabric was piling up. And that retail therapy shopping caused quite a pile.

But today I finally put it all away and it now looks like this. Woohoo!

I am sooo excited because all of my workspaces are now cleared off.
Ironing counter? CLEAR!
Sewing table? CLEAR!
Cutting/Work counter? FINALLY CLEAR!

And I can see and access my fat quarters. Aren't they beautiful all organized and nicely folded? Now I need to get this dang elbow to cooperate so I can use some of these beautiful fat quarters.

wow it looks awesome. Just think what wonderful quilts you can make once your elbow is better. Now that you have taken care of the fabric industry for a bit spend some time planning out the next few quilts you want to make. Pull out patterns and audition fabrics so when your elbow is ready so will you be.

I'm so inspired by your organization, then I look around my "creative space" and just sigh...and check my Facebook page...get another cup of tea... I did do a bunch of folding, then I thought I'd put all my UFOs into the drawer of my new dresser, but it filled up too quickly, as did a box next to the dresser, and I discovered another tub full of them. Oh dear.

I found your room tonight via the "Where I Sew" mosaic. Don't you just love those mini storage units? I just got mine a couple of months ago and they are stuffed with fabric, but it still needs to be organized.
Thanks for sharing your workspace.
