Over at Patchwork Times, Judy is running a 2011 UFO Challenge. This month's project is #6 and mine is finished - DONE, DONE! It's a crumb quilt that I started probably two years ago. It needed quilting and binding. Done. Thank you, Judy, for motivating us to finish these languishing projects.
Because all the blocks had a foundation piece I was afraid it would be too heavy if I quilted it with normal batting and back. So I used a flannel back and no batting. Well, it's pretty flimsy - not quilt-like in my opinion. But it will make a nice lap quilt or maybe a throw for a hospital bed, etc. Anyway, it will be a charity quilt of some sort.
Head over to Thirty Handmade Days to see other projects finished this week.

boy I remember when you started this project-glad it is done and hey if you are gifting it I am sure one of the shelters or groups will be very appreciative.
That will be a great gift for someone. Mine all go to http://americanheroquilts.com, but there are many deserving charities.
I love colorful quilts and this one's a winner!
Congrats on your finish.
It will make someone very happy

So colorful and cheery! It will be much loved and appreciated. Congrats on finishing!
Kudos on your finish. It can be a summer quilt :)
Congratulations on finishing your scrap quilt!
Wow! Your quilt looks great! I did a (somewhat) similar quilt for my #6. Ok, actually mine was a flannel crazy quilt, but still after seeing your beautiful quilt I want to stitch rip my little #6 and put in some sashing and... well, I think I am suffering from stitchers remorse and a little quilt envy. Anyhow, I love your quilt, it looks fabulous!
Cheers,
Dionne
A lovely *hug* for someone who may REALLY need it! Great job!
Love it!
